Lace Up Your Sneakers For The Annual Nun Run

Sister Lisa, MSC, shares the community story of the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart Of Jesus.  Sister Lisa talks about the founding of the MSC in 1900 in Germany to evangelize and start schools in the South Sea Islands.  In 1908 MSC missionaries were sent to the ‘pagan land’ of Pennsylvania!  Today there are MSC sisters in 22 countries.  The United States is now both a mission receiving and a mission sending country.

Download this community story about missions.  You will find out how ‘fun’ the work is and how passionately excited Sister Lisa is about her work.  In addition to hosting mission trips, Sister Lisa has her own radio show,  ‘Nun On The Run’.  You can hear it on www.catholicfmradio.com

Carrie Whitmoyer is the Mission Advancement Director for the MSC Sisters in Laureldale.   Carrie is equally excited to invite you to the Annual Nun Run, September 19 to raise money and awareness for the ongoing work of the MSC sisters.  She shares all the Nun Run details.  There’s a Youth Run, a 5K, and a one mile walk on September 19 at Sacred Heart Villa in Reading.  Join the fun in the 5k Run or the 1k Walk.
